I came to Amazon to replace this unit, and was surprised to see it on the top of the list when I searched for Caller ID. This thing runs on 3 AA batteries and it seems to like to eat them rather quickly. The unit is always on, showing the number of calls it has received. If there are no calls, it will display "No Calls".

The Contrast control can be set to help, but often I've see it reset to it's default setting.

I have now had this caller ID box for about six months, and it's still working like a charm! What I especially like is that I haven't yet had to replace the batteries. I like it so well, in fact, that I'm going to order a second one for elswhere in the house.

The numbers are large and easy to read. Its cord to the outlet is attached permanently, which is a drawback. I needed a longer in cord on it and will have to get a couple peices to acheive that. Other than that it is easy to use and works perfectly.
