I purchased my Caller ID box at Target for $9.99. But, I had to return the first one I purchased because I could not open the battery compartment even though I used a screw driver. It was frozen shut. So, I went back to Target, returned it and bought another one and it opened fine. However, I noticed that the date on the back of the second one I bought showed 2006. The first one showed 2004. So, maybe try to avoid buying the 2004 version. I tried calling my home number and noticed that the display is large and readable. Although I have only had it one day, it seems to work just fine.
